Sony Ericsson Cedar Review
Another addition to the Sony Ericsson GreenHeart family that hopes to build on the success of its predecessors.
For those that dont know the GreenHeart family of handsets that Sony Ericsson are producing were designed with those in mind whom are conscious about the environment. Not only are their GreenHeart range handsets produced using recycled products but they also contain no harmful chemicals, and in an attempt to save on waste, come with an e-manual and minimal external packaging. The handsets also contain no lead and have a battery offering lower consumption which saves energy over time. Although the green features are paramount to the handsets success they have not caused Sony Ericsson to remove the phones ability to operate the required level of features and applications.

The Cedar is a 3G capable handset which follows Sony Ericssons simplistic bar form casing look that has so frequently been seen. Its features include social network integration complete with a widget manager, two megapixel camera with 4 x zoom, radio, media player, Internet browser & it supports 3G HSDPA technology.
It seems every phone that is released these days puts great emphasise on the social networking capabilities of the handset and the cedar is no different with a widget manager which allows users to organise the widgets on their home screen to include their favourite sites including Twitter™, Facebook™ and MySpace™. The widgets also allow users to gain instant access to their chosen application by simply clicking once on the chosen widget.
The phone supports both standard calls and video calling, to compatible handsets, and has a hands free speaker to enable you to take calls on the move without having to hold the phone to your ear. There is also standard messaging, instand messaging and e-mail services available to the user which are easy to navigate and utilise.
