Samsung Jet Ultra Edition Review
Owners of the original Samsung Jet could be forgiven for thinking the Jet Ultra is just a clever ploy to get its army of fans to upgrade to this new handset because it must be said that at first glance it is hard to tell where Samsung have upgraded the phone.
That is not necessarily such a bad thing though with the original selling like hot cakes and coming packed with some pretty impressive tools and applications. Like its younger brother the Ultra Edition is bursting at the seems with some great selling points including the impressive 3.2” AMOLED screen which offers a crisp and responsive, fluid display.

The user interface feature of the Jet Ulttra Edition is the 3D cube interface which reminds us of the LG arenas interface. The Jet makes use of every side of the cube to enable you to access your music, videos, photo browser, games, radio and the internet. The Cube is well thought out and the design of the handset was obviously considered with the Cube in mind as there’s a dedicated shortcut button to access it.
The handset carries an impressive 5 megapixels camera with a host of options including face and smile detection, geo-tagging, autofocus and a fully customisable interface all accessed from the menu and powered by a Qualcomm 800MHz processor.
The handset carries the basic forms of communication that you would expect on a phone of this style and there is a useful full virtual QWERTY keypad that can be utilised in messaging mode.
In short it is a useful and easy to use handset that is trying to be an entry level smartphone as opposed to being aimed at the business user.
